Commune with Nature

Looking to reconnect with nature, or enjoy a perfect spiritual retreat? The Wollombi Penthouse is absolutely ideal…..

Rainbow Lorikeets
Towards Bribie Island is a large stand of pine trees, which are home to thousands of rainbow lorikeets. You cannot but be impressed by these birds, whose raucous chatter forms one of the spectacles from my balcony at both dusk and dawn.

Sea Birds
The skies are also gifted with Sea Eagles and Osprey which often fly right past your balcony, carrying fish for their young ones, or twigs for their nest. The occasional group of Black Cockatoos are attracted to the berries in the treetops opposite – you won’t be able to miss their distinctive calls. And the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage are home to many friendly pelicans – one of Caloundra’s icons.

Feed the locals
If you are an animal lover, purchase some small pieces of fresh meat, and sit these on your balcony railing early in the morning. The friendly butcher birds, magpies and crows will enjoy sharing this breakfast feast.

Whales and Dolphins
Out to sea, you will sometimes see flocks of small birds hovering over schools of fish. In the right seasons, you can also see the humpback whales and dolphins playing dancing in the ocean.

Friendly Plants
You will share your Penthouse with some beautiful plants, to bring you the feeling of being in a peaceful, home environment. After all…..this is your home away from home, so it should be extra special.

The Full Moon
And if you leave your bedroom curtains open during full moon, the moonlight will dance across you during the night.
